1. Helsinki Christmas markets

Tuomaan Markkinat

The most famous Christmas market in the capital of Finland!

The stunning open-air market is the city’s oldest Christmas market and the area is often filled with hundreds of different operators. In addition to vendors, the market is of course full of street food and, of course, warm mulled wine.

Teurastamo Christmas Market

Teurastamo Christmas Market take you to the old slaughterhouse, where Christmas has been celebrated for almost a decade.

2. Porvoo Christmas Markets

Porvoo’s Christmas Path

Porvoo Art Factory Christmas Market

The event has become an established part of Porvoo’s Christmas traditions and is an important part of what the Christmas city of Southern Finland has to offer.

Kerkkoo’s Traditional Christmas Market

The warmth and traditions of Christmas in idyllic village in the countryside north of Porvoo.

3. Tampere Christmas Market

Tampere is known for its magnificent Christmas lights, but also for the Christmas spirit that takes over the entire city center.

The traditional Tampere Christmas Market is open almost throughout December, including Independence Day. At the Christmas Market, you will find the warming Glögiravintola restaurant and Pyynikin Munkkikahvila café, so you can get into the warm Christmas spirit even in the cold weather with the help of mulled wine and doughnuts!

4. Kuopio Christmas Market

Kuopio advertises its Christmas market as the most beautiful in Finland, and no wonder.

This regional center in Northern Savonia and paradise for whitefish lovers invests in its Christmas market with spectacular area lighting and light art, seasoned with Savonian enthusiasm and cheerfulness. At the market, you can browse local products in charmingly decorated Christmas huts, sample local delicacies, and let the little ones get into the Christmas spirit – Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus are on duty, and there is a horse carousel for preschoolers every day.

5. Turku Christmas Market

One of Finland’s oldest and most famous Christmas markets, located in the historic Old Great Square area.

Christmas at the Old Great Square is part of many Turku residents’ Christmas preparations, and it is worth visiting even if you live further away. The event has a long tradition, as it has been held at the Old Great Square every year since 1990 – with a couple of vendors who have been there every year since the beginning, for an incredible 36 years!

6. Ekenäs Old Town Christmas Market

The traditional Christmas market will be held in the usual location in the heart of Tammisaari, at Raatihuoneentori Square and Kuninkaankatu Street.

7. Christmas in Old Rauma

Christmas in the one of the best-preserved wooden towns in the Nordic countries and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991.

8. Jyväskylä Christmas Fair
